India Treat
M.A., MFTC, LMFT-Associate
Supervised by Dr. Robyn Flores, LMFT-S
Hey, I’m India Treat. I know what it’s like to be a misunderstood neurodivergent under-appreciated human AND I know what it’s like to become your full, authentic self. I bring all of myself to therapy and hope to create safety that allows you to do the same.
I believe that humans grow through and towards connection, and it’s often through these connections that we can experience profound personal growth. I believe our work together is a collaboration and a partnership based on equality and mutual respect.
I’m here to understand your story. You are the leading expert in your own life. My role is to listen, understand, and provide guidance. It is my aim and hope to create a safe enough environment that you can easily say, “India, you’re wrong.”
I see clients in-person in Austin, TX and virtually throughout Texas and Colorado.
Education and Training:
Sex Therapist
M.A. in Professional Counseling from Texas State University
B.F.A. in Photography with Honors from School of Visual Arts
More About Me:
I hold a B.F.A. in photography and have an artistic background. I like reading paperback novels while floating in a body of water, gardening, home improvement projects, playing/cuddling with my two cats Negroni, and Cat Stevens, spending time with my friends and family, long walks, yoga, Pilates, cooking, and napping.
My Practice:
When you choose me as your provider, you are choosing to support a locally owned and operated small business. In contrast, a growing number of therapy practices across the country are now owned or heavily financed by private equity groups, whose primary obligation is often to investors and profit margins. This can influence decisions around session length, caseload size, staffing levels, and the types of services offered—factors that can affect the quality of care. As an independently owned practice, I have the freedom to prioritize long-term relationships, individualized treatment, and ethical decision-making over short-term financial targets, allowing therapy to stay focused on what truly matters: meaningful, sustainable healing and growth for you.
